To the fine folks at Tierra Yucatan: I wanted to tell you that we are so happy with the house you helped us purchase in Merida. It has everything and more that we were hoping to get. Moreover, the whole transaction went as smoothly as a person could hope for – in any country. We have visited Mexico many times over the years and are quite comfortable with the language and culture. However, we must admit, we were a little nervous about buying a house there because of our limited knowledge of the real-estate system.We did research the purchasing process but that did not alleviate all of our concerns.We were leaning towards getting a buyer’s agent to help us close in order to relieve some of the anxiety. Then we met Ricardo, our real-estate agent. He was great, and in time, he eliminated our worries. Not just any realtor could have done that. He was honest with a straight-forward nature that won our confidence.I always felt that he made our desires his first priority and worked to find the house that would please us best. He showed us numerous houses and answered our questions about each one without bias. He also explained the process of buying and closing on the house very thoroughly to the point that we were confident that Tierra Yucatan could handle all our closing needs.He anticipated our concerns as foreign buyers and answered most of our questions before we even had to ask them. In the end, the closing went better than we could have ever imagined, and we would not hesitate to purchase in Mexico again.
